Erin Coffey (née Lafferty) grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and attended Santa Clara University in San Jose, CA, where she earned her B.A. in Theatre Arts, Emphasis in Dance, and Spanish Studies. She is an educator, arts administrator, and performing artist with a continued interest in creating new work, community-based art making, and social justice. After graduating from SCU, she completed a fellowship in Marin Theatre Company's Education Department while continuing to perform in the Bay Area. She then moved on to Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse, NY, where she oversaw educational and training programs; developed arts-integrated, Common Core-aligned curricula; and was a core creative team member as the Resident Choreographer for two consecutive seasons. Now, Erin is the Education Director at Goodspeed Musicals in East Haddam, Connecticut, as well as a freelance dancer and choreographer.
