Arts Administration & Management Experience

GOODSPEED MUSICALS, EAST HADDAM, CONNECTICUT
EDUCATION DIRECTOR, JULY 2018 - PRESENT
  • Plan, manage, and market all Goodspeed Education programming and strategically develop new programs and initiatives
  • Plan and administer the Education Department and Scherer Library of Musical Theatre annual operating budget
  • Manage school and university partnerships, including those with Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, The Hartt School at University of Hartford, Boston Conservatory, and Wesleyan University

  • Create, design curriculum for, and implement new education initiatives to align with Goodspeed’s mission of promoting and preserving the art of musical theatre

  • On-site duties: In a bilingual setting, supervise a staff of eleven volunteers and their interactions with program participants (ages 6-18), coordinate program activities to build camaraderie among participants and staff, work with Producer to launch fundraising campaigns, and ensure that the mission of FCCMT is carried out through program workshops and community events revolving around art and social issues
  • Off-site duties: Assist in interviewing and hiring staff members, assist in planning and executing on-site orientation for staff members, assist in planning and marketing fundraising campaigns
